More than 4000 were in the black list and banned entry visa
Under the democratically people elected party NLD government, many people who fled from country for the reason of opposing the military government are list in the black list and ban to enter the country.
Aung San Su Kyi's cousin U Sein Win is one of them. Others are Moe Thee Zun, Dr. Aung Naing and Khin Ohnmar are well-known.
Moe Thee Zun said that Dr. Naing Aung apply visa to Burma at Burmese Embassy in Washington, but he didn't get any reply for visa. So, I want to ask to NLD government why but I don't know whom is to ask.
Former military dictators government list many activists and political opponents into the black list but Thein Sein government ease and remove 2000 of 6000 from the black list. But soon after, strict again for entry visa although remove from the list.
In 2016 NLD government remove about 600 people from the remaining 4000 but many people are still in the list.
Moe Thee Zun said he has no idea why he cannot get visa. he think this ban might be due to personal hates.
No one take responsibility for the inquire. We are Burmese and we decided to go back to Burma. We wish to help the people for the economy and development of country.
Many people were banned to enter the country, among them some are activists from 1988 uprising, some are since 1962, some are transform from the military and some are recently fled the country for thier believe.
General manager of Foreign Affair ministry, Kyaw Zay Ya said he doesn't know who list the black list and he has no idea to comment for it. But if some one is in the black list, he can't issue visa.
Bo Kyi is Join-Secretary of Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (Burma) said it should not be banning visa. He was removed from the black list and now living inside Burma but he and most people who has been in the black list cannot apply National ID.
When he apply National ID , the immigration office replied them that they were already revoked citizenship according to 1982 citizenship acts. Only president can give them indefinite leave to remain but not citizenship.
For them , to be residence again is rely on the president. If the president desires, they can be again otherwise they lack hopes.
Bo Kyi said National Defence and Security Council and president need to consider sooner or later to repeal black list and should reconsider to resettle them.
